2 critically injured in shooting on Getwell Road

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Parkway Village shooting left a man severely injured Thursday afternoon, Memphis Police say.

According to reports, officers responded to the shooting in the 2700 block of Getwell Road at 1:23 p.m. A man with an apparent gunshot wound was located on the scene and transported to Regional One in critical condition.

Police later said that at 1:41 p.m., officers responded to Baptist East Hospital regarding a man with a gunshot wound arriving by private vehicle. The man was listed in critical condition, and police believe he is connected to the shooting on Getwell.

There is no suspect information available at this time, but MPD says the investigation is ongoing.
