Man dangling from a rope off Trump Tower Chicago; demands to speak with President
A man hanging for hours off the 16th floor of Trump Tower in Chicago Sunday evening, threatening to kill himself unless President Trump agreed to speak with him.
Police and SWAT teams negotiated with the man late into Sunday night, but he was adamant and threatened to cut the rope he was hanging from if his demands weren’t met.
“I am protesting,” he said.
Surrounding streets were closed as the man, who was not identified, filmed himself and spoke to the camera.
The man suspended himself from a landing at the 16th floor of the skyscraper, at 401 N. Wabash Ave., Chicago Police spokesman Tom Ahern told WBBM-TV.
Crowds gathered along Wabash Street, which was closed to traffic.
