A 19-year-old man died and three 16-year-olds were hospitalized following a shooting at a Tucson house party early on Sunday. Police identified the dead man as Eduardo Salazar.

According to Tucson police, officers first received a 911 call about a loud party near East Valencia Road and South Alvernon Way at about 2:30 a.m. Multiple calls about a shooting later came in after 3 a.m. from the same location.

Tucson officers and firefighters responded and found Salazar and three 16-year-old boys with gunshot wounds. Salazar was pronounced dead at the scene; the teenagers were taken to a hospital, where one remained in critical condition and the other two were stable.

Detectives later learned an altercation broke out at the home, which led to the shooting.

Many people had fled the party before units arrived, police said. Details remain limited and no suspects had been identified.

The investigation was ongoing. Detectives asked anyone with information to call 88-CRIME. Callers can remain anonymous.
