Man dead after gunshot wound, car crash in Clarksville

A 22-year-old man is dead after he was shot and crashed his car in front of Target on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.

Clarksville police responded to the scene shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday after someone called 911 about the car crash, according to a statement from the department.

The driver, who has yet to be identified, was flown from Clarksville to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for treatment but was pronounced dead at the hospital.
