Man dead in shooting, Norfolk police say; investigation underway

Officers were called to investigate a shooting in which a man was killed in Norfolk on Friday, police said on Twitter.

Police responded to the call around 5 p.m. The shooting happened on Guy Avenue and Fenner Street, off Tidewater Drive, according the department’s Twitter account.

A man was killed, officials said.

Officers said the investigation is ongoing. Police did not release the name of the man that died or say whether they have a suspect in custody.
