Man delivering TV struck by pickup in New Carlisle

May 11—A man delivering a large flat-screen TV on Tuesday morning was struck by a pickup truck in New Carlisle.

The delivery driver was behind an R+L Carriers box truck stopped on Enon Road and was lowering the lift to remove the TV from the truck when he was struck shortly before 11 a.m. by a Dodge Ram 1500 headed north on Enon Road that also rear-ended the box truck. The delivery truck driver tried to jump out of the way, but he was struck and thrown into a yard, according to the Bethel Twp. fire marshal.

He was flown to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton and the driver of the pickup was taken to Soin Medical Center — Kettering Health in Beavercreek.

Neither driver suffered life-threatening injuries, said Lt. Christina Hayes, commander of the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

No one has been cited in the crash, which Hayes said remains under investigation.

Enon Road was temporarily closed for the crash investigation and cleanup.
