Man dies after being attacked by pack of dogs near Utah border

FORT HALL, Idaho (ABC4) — A man was found dead Wednesday on the Fort Hall Reservation in southern Idaho after being attacked by dogs, according to East Idaho News.

The man is identified by the Bingham Co. Coroner as Carlon Galloway, 19.

The official cause of death is yet to be determined, though the coroner confirmed that the man was attacked by a pack of dogs, according to East Idaho News.

Circumstances surrounding the attack and Galloway’s death have not been released.

The Shoshone Bannock Tribes Fish and Game Dept. euthanized several dogs on scene, according to East Idaho News.

“This is an isolated incident and there is currently no danger to the public,” said Echo Marshall, a spokeswoman for the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is reportedly investigating this incident.

Galloway’s death reportedly comes one year after a seven-year-old was mauled to death by a pack of dogs in Fort Hall. The dogs were also euthanized in this incident, while the owners were cited.
