Police: Man died in Bradford County after accidentally shooting himself, crashing his car

Pennsylvania State Police at Towanda are investigating an unusual incident in which a man apparently shot himself accidentally and then died in a car crash.

Around 2 a.m. Wednesday, state troopers responded to the Quality Inn parking lot off U.S. Route 6 in Wysox Township for a report of a found firearm.

A records check of the firearm revealed it was owned by 25-year-old Tyler States, no address given.

State police said it appeared States accidentally shot himself in the middle finger of his left hand, and then left the parking lot at a high rate of speed.
