Man dies after car flips into creek on Thursday
Feb. 10—A Union Star, Missouri, man died Thursday after losing control of his vehicle on a snow-covered road in DeKalb County.
Justin Hodge, 38, was driving a 2013 Honda CRV around 5:30 a.m. on Route F, 4 miles south of Union Star when he lost control and his vehicle traveled off the road, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports.
His vehicle traveled off an embankment and into a creek bed, where it then overturned onto its top and became submerged, according to crash reports.
Hodge was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt, according to crash reports.
