Man dies after crashing into tree in Adams County

ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Adams County Tuesday afternoon.

State Police in Gettysburg said that the deadly crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on Barlow Two Taverns Road in Mt. Joy Township. There was only one person in the vehicle when it crashed.

According to the crash report, 72-year-old Larry Redding of Gettysburg was driving his 2004 GMC Envoy south when he drifted across the roadway and went off-road, hitting a mailbox before crashing into a tree.

The man was rushed to the hospital for treatment but died, the report states.
