Man dies after Euclid apartment fire

EUCLID, Ohio (WJW) – A man has died after an apartment fire in Euclid late Saturday night.

According to a Facebook post from the Euclid Fire Department, firefighters responded to a report of a kitchen fire inside an apartment in the area of 300 Babbitt Road just before 11:45 p.m.

According to the fire department, firefighters located a man who was still inside the apartment. He was taken to Euclid Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to the department, the fire was extinguished. The Euclid Fire Department Fire Investigation Unit and the State Fire Marshall’s office are currency investigating.
