Man dies in fiery crash in St. Tammany Parish

ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Troopers with the Louisiana State Police are investigating a crash that left a man dead in St. Tammany Parish on Monday, Feb. 26.

The LSP reported the crash happened on Louisiana Highway 1078 near Louisiana Highway 1077 around 7:30 p.m.

Multi-car crash on I-10 leaves driver dead in New Orleans

LSP officials said an initial investigation shows 41-year-old Lance Husser was driving a Dodge west on Louisiana Highway 1078 when he drove off the road and hit a tree. The Dodge then reportedly caught fire.

Husser suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

LSP officials said the investigation is ongoing, and a routine toxicology sample was collected.
