Man dies after Goldenrod home invasion shooting, Seminole deputies say

A 44-year-old man died Saturday after being shot during a home invasion in his Goldenrod home, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies are searching for suspects who broke into a house in the 5400 block of Woodcrest Drive around 8:15 p.m. on Friday.

Jerimy Thomas was shot as he struggled with one of the suspects, the Sheriff’s Office said. His wife told investigators that multiple people entered their home through the garage and demanded money.

After the shooting, deputies said the suspects ran from the home and it’s unknown how they escaped the area.
