Man dies from injuries in July Hartwell crash

A man died Tuesday from injuries sustained during a July crash in Hartwell.

On July 25 at about 4 p.m., police responded to 31 E. Galbraith Road for a serious collision.

A man was driving east on Galbraith Road in a 2019 Kia Sorrento when he lost control of the vehicle. The car crossed the center line, traveled off the road and hit a tree.

The Kia navigated back onto the road before striking a 2020 Chevrolet van that was moving in the opposite direction.

The 48-year-old male driving the Kia Sorrento was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with serious injuries.

The man died from his injuries Tuesday, according to police.

Police said they have not been able to determine whether either of the drivers were wearing seatbelts.

The driver of the Chevrolet sustained no injuries in the collision.
