Man dies, woman injured in structure fire in Great Falls

The Great Falls Police Department announced on Monday that a man died and a woman was injured in a structure fire early Monday morning in Great Falls.

At 2:18 a.m., Great Falls Fire Rescue and GFPD responded to a working structure fire on the 600 block of 7th Avenue South. When they arrived, law enforcement and firefighters found a single-family home and vehicle involved in the fire.

Despite GFFR’s efforts, one man was killed in the fire and a woman was airlifted to Salt Lake City for burn treatment.

GFPD detectives and GFFR investigators are continuing to investigate the cause and circumstances of the fire. The names of those involved have not been released.
