Man With Down Syndrome Sworn In as Honorary Police Officer, Days Before His Birthday
The ultimate birthday wish has come true for a Kentucky man with Down syndrome after he was sworn in as an honorary police officer just before he turned 23.

Brennan Wheatley has wanted to be a cop since he was a kid.
And just days before his birthday, his dreams became reality when he was named a Campbellsville police officer in a ceremony attended by friends and family.
"Officer Wheatley is ready to go," Campbellsville Police Chief Pat Thompson announced after the swearing in ceremony, WLEX18 reported.
He was presented with a badge and uniform before being dispatched to duty right away.
His partner for the day, Officer Andy Warren, joined him as they patrolled the streets in a squad car, where Wheatley kept the streets safe by making a traffic stop.
He even cuffed a perpetrator before loading him into the backseat of the patrol car.
Warren told WLEX18: "He reminds us every day of what it's like to help people."
