Witnesses reportedly told police that the male had started several small fires, leading to most of the property going up in flames. Deputies also learned that Golden Valley Fire crews left the scene for their safety after the male displayed a weapon.

SWAT and detectives were called to the scene, and deputies gave commands for the male to show his hands, to which he did not comply.

According to a release, the individual walked into a carport on the property. Shortly after, the carport became engulfed in flames.

Upon approaching the residence, deputies found the male deceased inside the carport.
