Man faces charges after allegedly firing gun off Independence Boulevard

A man accused of firing a gun on Independence Boulevard Saturday morning was arrested.

Wilmington police have arrested and charged a man for firing a gun while walking down Independence Boulevard early Saturday morning.

According to a Wilmington Police Department release, around 3 a.m. Saturday police responded to Independence Boulevard near Portofino Court where they disarmed and arrested 22-year-old Jack Day. No one was injured.

Day is charged with discharging a firearm in a reckless manner, going armed to the terror of people, and disorderly conduct, the release stated. He received a $10,000 secure bond.
