Man faces indecent assault charges

Mar. 4—A Carbon County man already facing charges in two criminal cases for inappropriately touching women now faces a third.

William T. Wilkinson, 69, was charged with indecent assault of a person with mental disability by state police at Hazleton on Feb. 26 after an allegation surfaced that month.

He was denied bail during his Feb. 26 arraignment by Magisterial District Judge Joseph Homanko, Weatherly, due to him having the two other cases at the Carbon County Court of Common Pleas. Wilkinson faces charges by troopers for aggravated and indecent assault in those two cases which stem from 2017 incidents. Those cases involved allegations of Wilkinson's alleged inappropriate sexual behavior against nurses aides working at his home, according to court records.

Arrest papers state the latest case involved him touching a female's breast in Packer Twp. Troopers said they were made aware of the allegation Feb. 23 and the appropriate authorities were contacted to ensure the female's well-being.
