Man faces murder charges in suspected DUI crash that killed Elk Grove officer

The man suspected of killing an Elk Grove police officer in a DUI crash is now facing murder charges. He appeared in court Tuesday. Jermain J. Walton, 31, of Sacramento, was arrested Friday after a wrong-way crash on Highway 99, the Elk Grove Police Department said. The officer killed in the crash, Ty Lenehan, was riding his motorcycle on the way to work when he was hit. Lenehan was a six-year veteran with the department.
