Man fatally injured in tree-trimming accident

HARTFORD CITY, Ind. — A northern Indiana man was fatally injured Thursday when a tree he was in the process of cutting down fell on him.

Isaac Lister, 32 — from the Fort Wayne area, according to Blackford County Coroner Zach Crouch — was pronounced dead at IU Health Blackford Hospital at 12:46 p.m.

Crouch said the accident took place a half-mile north of the Blackford-Wells County line.

An autopsy will be conducted at a Fort Wayne hospital, the coroner said.
