Man fatally shot in car in Nodine Hill in Yonkers' second homicide in three days

A man who died in a pickup truck Monday morning in the Nodine Hill neighborhood of Yonkers had been shot, police said, the city's second homicide in three days.

Police responded just before 5 a.m. to a report of a man injured in a vehicle at Willow Street and Mount Carmel Place, Detective Sgt. Frank DiDomizio said. They found the victim with a gunshot wound to the head and despite life-saving efforts he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives from the major case, crime scene and digital forensic units are investigating and there was no immediate information about what led to the killing or whether there were any suspects.
