Man fatally shot, stabbed inside Brooklyn housing project

A man with a long felony rap sheet died after a brutal attack with multiple gunshots and repeated stabbing in a NYCHA housing complex in Brooklyn on Sunday, police said.

Police responding to a 911 call at the Langston Hughes Houses on Sutter Ave. near Rockaway Ave. in Brownsville found Waleek Watford, 31, mortally wounded about 10:40 a.m., police said.

Watford was shot twice in the left shoulder and torso, and stabbed multiple times around his body. He was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital but could not be saved.

Watford lived in Rosedale, Queens, and had “numerous” violent felony arrests, cops said.

There were no immediate arrests.
