Man fatally stabbed at Lower East Side hotel: NYPD

LOWER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) – A man was found fatally stabbed at a Lower East Side hotel Sunday, according to the NYPD.

The 49-year-old was found with multiple stab wounds around 11:15 p.m. inside the Public Hotel near Chrystie Street and Stanton Street, according to the NYPD. He was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

The man was not a guest of the hotel, sources told PIX11. He was found in a bathroom stall with a knife under him after another person reported to hotel staff that someone was having a medical episode in the bathroom, according to sources.

Police had not found his suspected killer by Monday, and had not made any arrests, according to the NYPD.
