Man found dead after brush fire tears through Brooklyn homeless encampment

A man was found dead early Sunday after a brush fire tore through his Brooklyn homeless encampment, cops said.

Firefighters were called to put out the blaze off the Belt Parkway near the Flatbush Ave. exit in Marine Park about 12:20 a.m., cops said.

The fire had torn through a homeless encampment, where the victim was found dead with serious burns. Cops were working to determine his identity.

The victim may have been cooking something at the encampment when the fire broke out, a police source said.

The city Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine how he died.
