Man found dead from self-inflicted gunshot wound in assisted living facility parking lot
PORT ST. LUCIE — A Port St. Lucie man found dead Monday in the parking lot of an assisted living facility died from an "apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound," according to police officials Tuesday.
Sgt. John Dellacroce, Port St. Lucie police spokesperson, said at 7:16 a.m. on Monday, officers responded to Harbor Place assisted living facility, 3700 Southeast Jennings Road, where a 95-year-old man was found lying on the ground in the parking lot.

Fire rescue officials pronounced the man dead at the scene, Dellacroce said via email. The unidentified man was a resident at the facility, he said, and a firearm was recovered at the location. It's unclear where he got the gun.
"This was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community," Dellacroce said.
