A 35-year-old man was found fatally shot in an SUV near the Gurdwara Sahib Sikh Temple in Stockton early Tuesday morning, Stockton Police reported.

Officers found the man near 1900 Sikh Temple Street at about 1 a.m., police said. He was sitting in the driver's seat of a green Chevrolet Tahoe, said Officer Joe Silva, a police spokesman. The shooting does not appear connected to the temple, he added.
