Man found shot, killed in vehicle in Kentwood

KENTWOOD, Mich (WOOD) — A man was found dead with an apparent gunshot wound in a vehicle early Saturday morning in Kentwood, police say.

Around 12:30 a.m., officers with the Kentwood Police Department responded to a welfare check for a person in a parked vehicle on Wing Avenue near 60th Street.

Responding officers found a 20-year-old Grand Rapids man inside a vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

It’s unclear what led up to the shooting.

Police say no arrests have been made.
