Man found shot in Lauderhill dies in the hospital

A man who was found with an apparent gunshot wound to his head has died in the hospital, Lauderhill police said.

Raulton February, 48, was lying at the base of a fence between a U-Save Food Store and an apartment complex Saturday morning, said Lt. Michael Santiago.

“The victim was taken to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale where he later died from his injuries,” Santiago said.

The shooting happened just after 2 a.m. at 4039 N.W. 19th St. near State Road 7, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the shooter to contact the Lauderhill Police Department at 954-497-4700.
