A contraption ripped from a Dr. Seuss book washed ashore a Florida beach Saturday carrying a man inside, according to Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

FCSO received calls about a strange cylindrical vehicle in the Hammock Beach area, the Sheriff’s Office said in a tweet.

Deputies arrived and found a man inside, who they reported as safe and with no injuries.

The man was planning to use the vehicle to travel to New York from St. Augustine but ran into complications, FCSO said.

The U.S. Coast Guard was contacted and is continuing with the investigation into the strange incident.
