Man hit by stray bullet in Times Square just steps away from spot where 4-year-old girl was shot in May

A stray bullet struck a man in Times Square Sunday afternoon, just a few feet away from the spot where a little girl was hit by gunfire last month, authorities said.

The 5:15 p.m. shooting erupted on Broadway near W. 45th St., outside the theater featuring Broadway’s “The Lion King.”

The 21-year-old victim, who police say was not the intended target, was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, cops said.

Police said they made no immediate arrest.

The violence erupted near the spot where 4-year-old Skye Martinez and two others were hit by stray bullets on May 8. Skye was waiting to get into Line Friends, a store in Times Square, right before suspected gunman Farrakhan Muhammad started shooting wildly, cops said.

Muhammad was aiming for his own brother as part of a vendor turf war, but instead, hit Skye in the leg and wounded two adult victims.
