Man injured in Highway 63 crash with semi near Spring Valley

Jan. 17—SPRING VALLEY, Minn. — An Iowa man was injured after a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, near Spring Valley.

A 2013 Volvo semi was northbound on 111th Avenue when it collided with a 2019 Ford F-150 pickup driving eastbound on Highway 63 around 8 p.m., according to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report.

The driver of the Ford pickup, David Maurice Demro, 75, of Ionia, Iowa, was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi, Patrick John Nesler, 56, of Ostrander, was not injured.

The Spring Valley Fire Department and Spring Valley Ambulance also responded to the scene.
