Man injured in second shooting within 12 hours in Augusta

One person was injured Thursday morning in a shooting at the Smart Grocery on Wrightsboro Road in Augusta.

At 11:30 a.m., the Richmond County Sheriff's Office responded to the store for a shooting.

When deputies arrived, they found a man who was shot at least once, according to a news release. The man was taken to the hospital for injuries that were not life threatening.

This is the second shooting in Augusta within 12 hours.

On Wednesday night, 15-year-old Jabari Webb, of Augusta, was killed in a shooting on Aiken Street.
