Man killed, 2 injured in weekend head-on crash in Mercer County

A man was killed and two people were hurt in a car crash that happened over the weekend in Mercer County.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened around 11:40 p.m. on Mercer Road just north of Line Road in Delaware Township.

Police said a Ford was traveling north on state Route 58 near 1584 Mercer Road and another vehicle was traveling south when the Ford moved into the southbound lane, hitting the other car head-on.

The other car spun around and overturned before coming to a stop in a ditch. The Ford continued north before rolling over and also stopping in a ditch.

The driver of the Ford, identified by state police as 32-year-old Michael Miller of Greenville, died as a result of the crash.

The woman driving the other car was flown to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital with serious injuries, according to police. Her passenger had minor injuries and wasn’t taken to the hospital.
