Man killed after colliding with semi in western Idaho

MIDVALE, Idaho (ABC4) — An Idaho man was killed after colliding with a semi on U.S. 95, just south of Midvale, Idaho.

Idaho State Police said the crash happened just after 12:30 p.m., when a 41-year-old man from Caldwell, Idaho, was driving southbound on U.S. 95 in a Ford Econoline. At the same time, a 56-year-old man from Boise, Idaho was turning north from the Midvale Hill Rest Area on U.S. 95 in a Volvo Semi, pulling two trailers.

The Ford collided with the Volvo semi’s rear trailer, killing the driver of the Ford.

Police said traffic on U.S. 95 was blocked for approximately four hours to allow emergency responders to assist those involved and clear the scene. The road has since reopened.
