Man killed in head-on crash on Interstate 90 near Dresbach

Oct. 12—DRESBACH TOWNSHIP, Minn. — A Wisconsin man was killed in a head-on crash with a semi-truck Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023, near Dresbach Township, Minnesota.

A 2006 Ford F150 pickup truck was eastbound in the westbound lanes on Interstate 90 when it collided with a 2018 Kenworth semi-truck with a box trailer driving westbound near mile marker 275 at 7:49 p.m., according to Minnesota State Patrol Sgt. Troy Christianson.

The driver of the Ford F150, Donald Joseph Suchla, 87, of Arcadia, Wisconsin, was killed in the crash.

The driver of the semi, Mark Peter Crom, 67, of Albert Lea, was not injured.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, according to the report.

The La Crescent Police Department, La Crescent Fire Department, Winona County Sheriff's Department, Dakota Fire Department and Gundersen Tri-State Ambulance also responded to the scene.
