Police identify Wichita man killed in fatal hit-and-run

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A 31-year-old man who was killed in a hit-and-run on Friday in north Wichita has been identified by the Wichita Police Department as Pedro Bautista.

Around 10:37 p.m., officers responded to the report of an assault near East 13th Street North and Mosley Street.

Officers found Bautista lying on the sidewalk. Fire and EMS attempted life-saving measures, but he died at the scene.

A preliminary investigation revealed that he was hit by a vehicle, which police have located.

The case is still under investigation. The WPD is urging anyone with any information to call the Accident Follow-up Section at 316-350-3687 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
