Man killed inside Hampton home, police investigating

Hampton police are investigating a Saturday night shooting that left a man dead inside a home.

Dispatchers were called around 11 p.m. about the shooting in the 2100 block of East Roger Peed Drive, off of Newton Road near Andrews Boulevard.

Police found a 39-year-old man, who has not been publicly identified, inside a home. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from police.

Detectives did not release suspect information or provide the motive or circumstances of the shooting.
