Man killed outside bar in Newark

A 49-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning in Newark, Wayne County, according to New York State Police.

Troopers said that Christopher M. Vancleaf of Newark was killed around 2:15 a.m. on Murray Street, near Tommy Boy's Bar.

Further details of the slaying were not released. State Police, Newark police and the Wayne County Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident. No charges have been filed in connection with the homicide.
