Man killed in Saturday night shooting on Northeast Side is identified

Columbus police have identified a man who was fatally shot Saturday night on the city's Northeast Side.

Edgar Romero Gutierrez, 53, was found with a gunshot wound by officers responding to a reported shooting at 9:28 p.m. in the 2200 block of Webster Canyon Court, police said Sunday night.

Columbus Division of Fire medics pronounced him dead at the scene at 9:35 p.m.

No further information about the incident has been released by city homicide detectives investigating the shooting.
