Two men killed in shootings in Baltimore on Saturday

Two men were killed and five others were injured in separate shootings this weekend in Baltimore.

A man was killed in the Ellwood Park-Monument neighborhood of East Baltimore on Saturday morning.

Officers responded to the 400 block of North Curley Street and found a victim, identified Tuesday as 36-year-old Davon Jones, with gunshot wounds, Baltimore Police said. Medics arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Another man, 38, was injured in the same shooting and taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

A 21-year-old man died in a double shooting in Central Baltimore on Saturday night.

Officers arrived around 11 p.m. at the 100 block of East Mulberry Street for a reported shooting. There, they found the man, identified Tuesday as Jalen Wise, with multiple gunshot wounds and took him to the Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said a 22-year-old man walked in a short time later hospital with a gunshot wound. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Detectives have learned that both victims were shot in the 100 block of East Mulberry Street.

Two unidentified males are in critical condition after being shot Sunday morning in South Baltimore, according to Baltimore Police.

Officers responded shortly before 3 p.m. to the 2600 block of West Patapsco Avenue in the Lakeland neighborhood and found the two suffering from gunshot wounds, police said. They were taken to hospitals.

Homicide detectives are investigating due to the victims’ injuries, police said.

Early Sunday, a man walked into a hospital with gunshot wounds.

Officers arrived around 1:30 a.m. at the 900 block of West Ostend Street for a ShotSpotter alert. There, officers found evidence of a shooting.

Officers were then called to a hospital to investigate a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment. The 37-year-old man is expected to survive.
