Man leads officers on a search after fleeing from Taylor County Deputy

TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A man led officers on a search after fleeing from a Deputy on Thursday night.

On February 22 at around 9:00 p.m., a Taylor County Sheriff’s Deputy pulled over a vehicle. As the vehicle came to a stop, a passenger jumped out and began to run, prompting the deputy to pursue on foot.

The Taylor County Sheriff’s Department and the Abilene Police Department conducted a search in the area and apprehended Jeromiah Cruse, who was wanted for 1st-degree Felony Possession of Cocaine.

Additionally, he was charged with Evading Arrest. He was released from the Taylor County Jail on February 23.
