Man operating skid loader on farm killed in accident in York County; Coroner’s Office

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A man was killed in a skid loader accident on a farm in York County on Saturday, according to officials.

According to the York County Coroner’s Office, they were dispatched around 4:23 p.m. to the 5200 block of East Prospect Road for a 92-year-old man found dead after a skid loader accident.

The man, who was wearing a seatbelt, was operating a skid loader on a farm when it flipped backwards and trapped him in the skid loader, according to the coroner’s report. A family member found the skid loader flipped backwards and the man was unconscious.

The report states that EMS was immediately dispatched and the man could not be resuscitated despite the efforts of first responders.

The York County Coroner has identified the man as David Evans of Lower Windsor Township.

The cause and manner of death also have not been released yet. There will be no autopsy.
