Man pleads guilty in crash that killed motorcyclist in Streetsboro
A Cincinnati man has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a crash that killed a Streetsboro man on a motorcycle in July 2021.

Jermaine D. McGee Jr., 26, pleaded guilty in Portage County Court of Common Pleas to second-degree felony aggravated vehicular homicide and first-degree misdemeanor operating a vehicle under the influence on Friday, said Michael Boltz, bailiff for Judge Laurie J. Pittman.
Scheduling of sentencing is pending completion of a pre-sentencing investigation by the court's adult probation department.
Streetsboro police said they responded after receiving a call for the crash at 11:29 p.m. on July 5, 2021. McGee made a U-turn while eastbound in a Honda Civic on Route 14 near the Ohio Turnpike, police said. Dana A. Griffiths, 22, was westbound on a motorcycle and collided with the car. Griffiths, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected.

Griffiths was flown by helicopter to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, where he died the next day. He had two sons. No injuries were reported to McGee.
As part of a plea deal, additional charges in a grand jury indictment and a supplemental indictment were dismissed, including first-degree felony aggravated vehicular homicide, a second OVI charge, first-degree misdemeanor driving under suspension, and minor misdemeanor failure to yield right of way.
According to a supplemental indictment, McGee tested positive for marijuana.
