A couple rescued a kitten from a flooded creek near their home in Sacramento, California, on October 24, video shows.

Skip Campbell told Storyful that he and his wife, Nancy, discovered the kitten when they went outside to survey rising water levels due to heavy rainfall.

Nancy heard a faint sound coming from the creek and told Skip that something seemed to be bobbing up and down in the water. Skip jumped into action, taking off his shoes and heading into the water, where he was able to rescue the soaking wet kitten.

“We love that we were in the right place at the right time to save this kitty,” Skip told Storyful. The couple took the kitten back to their home and they are currently deciding whether to keep it or find it another loving home. Credit: Nancy Elaine Campbell via Storyful
