An Oklahoma man was sent to jail because of cocaine possession, but it ended up just being powdered milk. Yes, you read that right.

Back in August, Cody Gregg was pulled over for not having lights on his bicycle. Following a police chase, he was found in possession of "a large amount of powdery white substance" in a coffee can, according to an affidavit obtained by The Oklahoman. Gregg was on probation at the time of his arrest for previous drug related charges.

The officer thought that the substance was cocaine due to his "training and experience," as reported by PEOPLE. The roadside test of the substance also tested positive for cocaine, therefore Gregg was charged with drug possession and the intent to distribute. He initially pled not guilty.

After two months in the Oklahoma County Jail Gregg changed his plea to guilty, according to The Washington Post. He told the judge he changed his plea to get out of the jail, which is said to have some of the worst conditions in the country. A public defender from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jason Lollman, took to Twitter to make sense of Gregg's guilty plea.

However, additional lab tests proved that the substance thought to be cocaine was actually just powdered milk Gregg got from a food pantry. Last week, he was sentenced to 15 years, but after the new test results, he asked to withdrawal his guilty plea. Subsequently, the case was dismissed today.
