Man sentenced to 8 years for drug trafficking

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — A York County man was sentenced to prison on Thursday for trafficking cocaine.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Terry Clark, 59, of York County was sentenced on Thursday, March 7, to 8 years in prison for possessing cocaine with the intent to distribute it.

According to U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam, in 2021, Clark was stopped by police in York County and was found to have crack cocaine, two cell phones, a digital scale, and $18,200 cash on his person.

Officials say Clark admitted that the money was from selling narcotics. Within a month, police say Clark sold crack cocaine to a confidential source, and then within two weeks he was stopped again by police and was found to have more crack cocaine and marijuana.

According to U.S. Attorneys, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Clark’s home and seized more crack cocaine, as well as, fentanyl, a digital scale, and a stun gun.

U.S. Officials say in total Clark was found to be responsible for 398 grams of crack cocaine, 27 grams of marijuana, and 8 grams of fentanyl.
