Man seriously injured in Rochester shooting on North Plymouth Ave.

A 40-year-old man suffered serious injuries after being shot on North Plymouth Avenue in Rochester Sunday.

Rochester police said the unidentified man was shot at least once in the upper body. He was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital by private vehicle, police said. Due to the hospital's lack of trauma surgery facilities, the man was then transferred to Strong Memorial Hospital.

He is currently listed in serious but stable condition, police said.

Police said the shooting occurred about 6:30 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing.
