Man severely injured in Christmas Day shooting on Webster St. in Worcester

WORCESTER — A 29-year-old man was taken to a local hospital after sustaining several life-threatening gunshot injuries on Webster Street early Christmas Day.
Worcester police were dispatched at about 4:40 a.m. to the third floor of the address where witnesses brought officers to the location.
It appeared to be the scene of an after-hours party, police said.
Officers provided medical aid until the ambulance arrived to transport the victim to the hospital.
The incident is being investigated by Worcester police detectives, who arrived to process the crime scene.
