Man shot on Adaline Drive in Stow during internet shoe sale

A 19-year-old man was shot in Stow on Monday evening during an internet sale exchange, according to the city's police department.

The man told officers he was meeting up with someone to sell a pair of shoes when he was shot by the potential buyer, according to News 5 in Cleveland.

According to a news release, officers responding to the 3400 block of Adaline Drive after receiving multiple reports of shots being fired in the area found the man, who lives in the area, with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound just before 7 p.m. Monday. Stow EMS took him to Summa Akron City Hospital.

"We are working on collecting video if there is video available, so if somebody does have video available of that area, we would encourage them to reach out to us," Stow police Capt. Bryan Snavely told News 5.

Police said that witnesses reported a dark-colored sedan fleeing the area at a high rate of speed north onAdaline Drive toward Graham Road.
